Those in town for the upcoming El Paso Water Lantern Festival should absolutely head out to the serene lake at Ascarate Park for what promises to be a memorable sight. The event will feature five hours of live music, food trucks, lantern designing, and then lantern launches out onto the water after sundown. Watching the water illuminate under the night sky is truly incredible. Also, the Water Lantern Festival Team goes to great lengths to ensure the event is sustainable by using eco-friendly products for the lanterns, and doing extensive cleanups following.
